Q: How much straight pipe run is required upstream and downstream?
A: Flow conditioning is critical. Typically, 15D to 20D (diameters) of straight run upstream and 5D downstream are required to ensure a fully developed, non-turbulent flow profile for accurate vortex detection.

Q: Can a vortex meter measure the mass flow of steam?
